Privacy Policy
Thank you for using Shadow Shot (the “App”). This App is a free photo-taking and image-saving tool. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains clearly how we collect, use, store, and protect your information, especially information related to camera access, photo library (photos) access, and saving photos.
Please read and understand this Policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The App does not require registration or login and does not proactively collect your personal identity information (such as your name, phone number, email address, or account information).
We access the following device permissions and related data only with your explicit authorization, and only to provide the App’s core features:
- Camera Permission: When you use the photo-taking feature, we need access to your device camera for live preview and capturing photos. We do not upload, store, or analyze any image data captured by the camera unless you manually trigger the “Save” action.
-
Photo Library (Storage / Photos & Videos) Permission:
- Read Access: When you choose to select photos from your device photo library for viewing or processing, we will request this permission. We access only the photos you actively select, and we do not scan or upload your entire photo library.
- Write/Save Access: When you want to save captured or processed photos to your device photo library, we need this permission. Saved photos are stored on your local device.
2. Storage and Retention
- Local Storage: All photos you take and choose to save are stored only in your device’s local photo library. We do not operate a server, so we do not store, back up, or process your photos on any remote server.
- Cached Data: To improve performance, the App may generate temporary cached data on your device (such as temporary files created during processing). This data exists only on your device, and you can usually remove it by clearing the App’s cache.
3. How We Use Information
We use data accessed through permissions only for the following purposes:
- Provide photo-taking and image preview features;
- Save images you choose to save into your device’s local photo library;
- Maintain and improve the App’s basic performance and stability.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, transfer, or otherwise disclose any of your personal data or photos to any third party, because we do not collect or store such data.
5. Third-Party Services
The App operates independently and does not integrate any third-party SDKs that collect user data (such as advertising, social sharing, or analytics SDKs).
6. Your Rights and Control
- Permission Management: You can disable the App’s camera or photo library permissions at any time in your device system settings. Disabling permissions will prevent related features from working (for example, you won’t be able to take photos or save photos), but it will not affect other features that do not require those permissions.
- Data Deletion: Photos saved in your device photo library are fully under your control. You can view, edit, or delete these photos at any time using your device’s Photos app.
7. Children’s Privacy
This App is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will make reasonable efforts to delete it as soon as possible.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. After updates, we will publish the new policy in the App or through other appropriate means, and we will update the “Effective Date”. Please review it periodically.
